Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This policy says what Calm Remodel collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask of us. We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use what you upload to train AI models.
1. Who we are
Calm Remodel is operated by Osii, based in the Republic of Korea, which decides how your information is used. Contact: hello@calmremodel.com.
2. What we collect
- Your account: your name and email, and the sign-in method you choose.
- Your project: the address of the home, rooms, budget, dates and decisions you record.
- What you give Bea: quotes, photos, PDFs, forwarded emails and messages. These often contain your contractors' names, business details and contact information.
- Your crew: the names and phone numbers or emails of the people you invite, and the answers they give on their links.
- Payments: Polar handles your card; we receive only what a purchase was, when, and whether it succeeded.
- Technical data: logs of requests and errors, kept to run and secure the service.
- The waiting list: if you ask to be told when Calm Remodel opens, your email address.
3. Why we use it
- To run the service you asked for: Bea reading your documents, keeping your schedule, and passing messages to the people on your job.
- To send the emails the service needs (sign-in, receipts, what changed on your job), and the one email a waiting-list sign-up asked for.
- To take payment, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records.
4. Who else handles it
We use these providers to run Calm Remodel. Each processes your information only to provide its part of the service:
- OpenAI — the AI models Bea runs on read your documents and messages. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models.
- Convex — our database.
- Cloudflare — storage for your photos and files.
- Vercel — hosting of the website and app.
- Clerk — sign-in.
- Resend — sending and receiving email.
- Polar — payments, as merchant of record.
The people you invite to your job see what their link shows them: their dates, their questions and the details you chose to share. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and projects while your account is open. When you delete a project or your account, we delete its files and records within 30 days, except payment records, which tax law requires us to keep for the period it sets. Waiting-list addresses are deleted once we have told you Calm Remodel is open, or when you unsubscribe.
6. Your choices and rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your information, and close your account, from the app or by writing to hello@calmremodel.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have further rights, such as to know what we hold about you or to object to a use of it; write to us and we will answer within the time the law sets. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. No advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children
Calm Remodel is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above, and for a significant change we tell you first.
